Our camps explore a variety of visual art experiences including painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media and more to take children on an experiential journey where their own ideas are celebrated. Our program is open-ended and unstructured which helps children practice creativity and imagination while exploring the potential and language of art materials.
🍦 Sweet Treats (ages 5-8)
Paint, draw, collage and sculpt yummy art with us on this day - cakes, cupcakes, slushie drinks or ice-creams - using a variety of art materials and techniques. Children will experiment with soft pastels, watercolour, paint sticks, paper mache and paper clay.

🦜 Sculpt a Bird (ages 5-8)
Learn some basic paper-mache techniques to sculpt a bird and decorate it with collage materials and paper clay. Build a cosy nest for it out of pottery clay and add finishing touches using natural materials.

🦉 Draw a Night Owl (ages 5-8)
Practice some basic observational drawing as well as your imaginary skills to draw an owl at night. Learn to draw feathery textures and patterns with soft pastels and charcoal and create a stunning watercolour background.

Dragons are imaginary creatures so be ready to use your vivid imagination to paint one! Learn how to create a stark contrast in a painting by using warm and cool colours so your dragon looks bright and fiery.

Experimenting with the plasticine sculpture painting technique create a space scene with planets, space ships and outer space creatures. Learn to use clay tools to add details and texture to create a 3D painting.

📚 Write a Fantasy Story (ages 9+)
Get ready to use your wild imagination to come up with a fantasy story and some cool characters that are going to have amazing adventures! Using some simple creative writing techniques we will write a story with a gripping plot and a suspenseful narrative as well as illustrate it in a comic book style.

🍧 Delicious Deserts (ages 9+)
Taking inspiration from contemporary pop-up artists we will paint a deliciously looking cupcake and sculpt a yummy ice cream in a cone using a variety of construction materials and paper clay. Get ready to do some mind-blowing sculpture decorations like chocolate drip and sugar sprinkles that look so real it's hard to resist not to eat your sculpture!

🏡 Build a Tree House (ages 9+)
Taking inspiration from Tree-House book series create a 3D sculpture of your own wacky tree house that can feature multiple levels and all sorts of imaginary inventions and fantasy characters. Will your tree house have a swimming pool infested with sharks or a perilous maze of doom?

🧚 Create a Pop-up Book (ages 9+)
Taking inspiration from Mina Lima pop-up book designers create your own Hogwarts encyclopaedia on magical creatures and fantastic beasts with an interactive movable element on each page. Learn some basic origami techniques and use your imagination skills to create your favourite mythical creatures and deathly beasts that roam the Wizarding world!

What’s included in the price:
All the materials the children will use during the day (We are very generous with art supplies and use materials of the highest quality only. Our students use rare art materials such as plaster, paper clay, craft glue, artist-quality acrylic paints and highest quality paper and canvas boards. All this is included in the price!) Two qualified art teachers on site if we are fully booked to ensure individual attention to each child enrolled. Using other studio materials during the day in between the art-making sessions – there is no TV watching at WonderLab with the children engaged in art-making the whole day (drawing with ink and soft pastels, painting with watercolour, modelling with clay and plasticine – our students bring home a lot of creations after the camps). We also pre-make a lot of custom-made spare parts for our camp creations to ensure children’s artworks look unique and elaborate.
