With the lockdown extended it looks like we won't be able to return to the studio in Term 3. If you have a booking with us, please be assured that it is not going to be lost and you can use your credit for on-site classes once we can return back to the studio!
In the meantime, we have decided to start running ZOOM™ classes for the remainder of Term 3 so we can brighten a bit our children's lockdown lives :)
PICTURE BOOKS and CHARACTERS (ages 4-6)
This class is designed for younger children (preschool and first years of primary school - ideal for siblings!) with age-appropriate activities that will develop your child's creativity and imagination. Each week we will read a picture book as an inspiration and create a simple artwork with the theme of the chosen book.
Younger kids might need parental assistance while older children may be able to create on their own.
Recommended materials for this course are: thick paper pads, coloured paper, coloured pencils, markers, oil crayons, scissors, glue stick, watercolour, paintbrushes, plasticine (modelling clay).

Friday 11.00-12.00 (course starts August 6th)

THE GRAPHIC NOVELIST (ages 7+)
This course is designed for older children (Year 2-4 primary school) who would like to explore the subject of cartooning and graphic novel illustration. The children will practice drawing comic book characters and settings practicing their visual storytelling skills.
Basic art materials are required for this course such as A4 thick paper pads, HB lead pencil, erasers, coloured pencils and markers.
When:
Wednesday 4.00-5.00 (course starts August 4th)

ART CLUB (ages 7+)
In this course for older children (Year 2-4 primary school) we will experiment with different art media such as pencils, oil crayons, watercolour or acrylics to explore drawing, painting, collage and simple sculpture techniques. The projects will include still life objects sketching, animal drawing and painting, paper construction and engineering techniques.
Recommended materials for this course are: A3 thick paper pads, HB pencil and eraser, markers, coloured pencils, oil crayons, watercolour and paintbrushes, masking tape.

Thursday 4.00-5.00 (course starts August 5th)
Price: $150 (6 classes)
ILLUSTRATION (ages 10+)
Join our artist educator Barbara to experiment with simple drawing materials and learn how to visually illustrate an idea. We will go through such fundamental skills as mark-making, creating texture, line, form, light and shadow to help us communicate a message and draw our subject matter. The projects might include anything from manga character drawing to landscape drawing.
When:
Tuesday 4.00-5.00 (course starts August 3rd)

Creative Kids Voucher details can be added in the registration form when you book your tickets. Upon successful completion of the order where a voucher is filled out correctly, we will then process a refund to the same bank card account that you completed the order with for $100. Please allow for 5-7 business days after receiving a refund confirmation email for the funds to appear in your bank account.
