Our camps explore a variety of visual art experiences including painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media and more to take children on an experiential journey where their own ideas are celebrated. Our program is open-ended and unstructured which helps children practice creativity and imagination while exploring the potential and language of art materials.
🧜♀️ Collage a Still Life (ages 5-7)
Using a variety of drawing materials (pencils, markers, ink and watercolour) the children will create a collage image of flowers in a vase. We will be practicing basic observation drawing techniques and immerse ourselves in material exploration to create a paper of different colours and textures that will make a composition for our still life!

🦖 Build a Small Paper World (ages 5-7)
Experimenting with some basic paper engineering techniques the children will create a paper sculpture of a house and mini details that can accompany it - cars, people, trees, flowers, fences etc.

🦋 Paint a Crocodile (ages 5-7)
Taking inspiration from a picture book character, the children will draw a portrait of a crocodile and experiment with some basic watercolour colouring techniques.

🗺️ Create a Diorama (ages 5-7)
Using all sorts of drawing materials (markers, pencils, watercolour) the children will create a mini underwater world in a cardboard diorama box. We will learn about different sea levels and the ocean creatures that inhabit each of them - a coral reef, a twilight zone, a midnight zone - to create a world we like the most.

📚 Packing for Hogwarts (ages 8-10)
Come and create some exciting Hogwarts school list items with us: a spell book with spells, a magic wand, a telescope and a paper-mache animal such as an owl, a cat or a toad to get ready to start the Hogwarts school year!

🔮 Create a Comic Book Character (ages 8-10)
Come and create your own comic book character illustration and paint it on the canvas board with acrylic paints! In the second part of the workshop draw a comic strip about your character and practice some creative writing techniques.

🐲 Experiment with Colour Pencils (ages 8-10)
Draw a jungle scene with some reptiles and practice colouring your image with colour pencils and watercolour. We will learn how to create a gradient with pencils, how to blend colours and play with colour intensity..

👻 Advanced Colour Pencil Techniques (ages 10+)
Sketch a portrait of a wild cat and learn how to colour it with colour pencils. We will look at how to build layers of colour with pencils, how to create furry texture, how to show light and dark areas and how to draw realistic patterns on the animal.

What’s included in the price:
All the materials the children will use during the day (We are very generous with art supplies and use materials of the highest quality only. Our students use rare art materials such as plaster, paper clay, craft glue, artist-quality acrylic paints and highest quality paper and canvas boards. All this is included in the price!) Two qualified art teachers on site if we are fully booked to ensure individual attention to each child enrolled. Using other studio materials during the day in between the art-making sessions – there is no TV watching at WonderLab with the children engaged in art-making the whole day (drawing with ink and soft pastels, painting with watercolour, modelling with clay and plasticine – our students bring home a lot of creations after the camps). We also pre-make a lot of custom-made spare parts for our camp creations to ensure children’s artworks look unique and elaborate.
Creative Kids Voucher details can be added to the registration form when you book your tickets. Upon successful completion of the order where a voucher is filled out correctly, we will then process a refund to the same bank card account that you completed the order with for $100. Please allow 5-7 business days after receiving a refund confirmation email for the funds to appear in your bank account.
